Frequently
Asked
Questions
Do you take insurance?
I do not take insurance, however, I am happy to provide a superbill that you can submit to your insurance company if your plan offers out-of-network benefits for therapy.
Do you offer virtual sessions?
Yes! In addition to in-person sessions at my office in Ephrata, Pa, I also offer telehealth virtual sessions to anyone in the state of Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

What can I expect at a session?
First and foremost, I do my best to offer a comfortable, safe, and welcoming space, whether you're joining in person or virtually.
Therapy with me is a collaborative process. You can expect to engage in open dialogue, where I ask thoughtful questions, offer new perspectives, provide gentle challenges and reframes, and ultimately cheer you on as you move toward your goals.
I strive to make the space as inclusive and neurodivergent-friendly as possible. My office is lit solely by natural light or soft lamps, creating a calm and soothing atmosphere. I encourage clients to get comfortable—feel free to remove your shoes and use one of the cozy blankets I provide during sessions. I also have a variety of fidget tools available that you can use to help ground yourself or stay engaged during our work together.
In our sessions, I’m mindful of different ways people process information, so I offer flexibility with communication and pacing to ensure you feel supported throughout. If you need breaks, adjustments in how we work, or anything else that will help you feel more comfortable, I’m happy to accommodate. I’m here to make the process feel as comfortable and effective as possible for you.
Do you work with specific ages?
I primarily work with adults above the age of 18. I work with teenagers 14+ on a limited, case by case basis.
How often do we meet?
After we complete your initial intake, we will review the information and develop a plan of care including how often we will meet together. I offer both day and evening apppointments.
Do you only work with women?
I specialize in women’s mental health, particularly in regard to eating disorders, ADHD, body image concerns, and anxiety. My training and expertise are rooted in the unique challenges women face, especially given that much of the research in these areas is based on white male populations, leading to frequent misdiagnosis or lack of diagnosis for women.
I am particularly passionate about supporting underrepresented groups, including trans women and individuals within the LGBTQIA+ community. While my focus is on women, I have worked with male-identifying clients throughout my career and am open to working with men if we are a good fit.
How do I know if you’re the right therapist for me?
A strong therapeutic relationship is built on trust, comfort, and mutual respect. I offer free 15-minute consultation calls so you can get a feel for how we might work together. From personal experience, I understand how important it is to find the right fit, and if at any point you feel something isn’t quite right, we can adjust the approach or discuss finding someone else you might connect with better. Your comfort and progress are my priority.
